Another amazing thing happened while I was watching the Yankees/Mariners game at my parents' house last night.

I was sitting at their kitchen table watching the game when I looked up and looked thru the windows into the back yard and saw this:

Two important things I learned last night while logging a few minutes of time with the Diane Sawyer special about women in maximum security prisons:

1. Instead of forming gangs in prison, women inmates form fake family units in which one prisoner is the mother, one is the father, etc.

2. A strap-on dildo can easily be made in prison by using a pen, 2 pads (maxi pads? note pads?), an ace bandage, and a rubber glove. The harness is made from a bra.

Fascinating.

Also, I would love to get my hands on some of the jail house recipes they demonstrated on the show. You know, the ones where they take a bag of chips and hot water and turn it into Paupiette of Black Sea Bass in a Crisp Potato Shell... or some kind of pizza-like concoction.
